Hey, it's The Brand and Sweet Boy!

My Review:

Saga #24 marks the new arc of the series and is a change of pace from Saga #23. We spend the entire issue with characters that we haven't seen for the past few issues, including Gwendolyn and The Will.

These characters are sorely missed, and are not standing idly by while Alana and Marko try to stay alive, but something felt disproportionate and I was disappointed with the issue.

The art is gorgeous as usual, and explaining what is currently happening with The Will through simple dialogue instead of infodump is clever, but this issue's pacing was off and focused too much on The Brand, who the readers don't know much about and wasn't very interesting.

The issue ended with a predictable cliffhanger and one can only hope that Issue 25 will be vastly better than Issue 24

Saga Issue 24 is available here.

As always, check out my review for the other installments in the series:
Volume One (Issues 1-6)
Volume Two  (Issues 7-12)
