Keep Your Head Down.
Don't Get Noticed.
Or Else.

I'm Trella. I'm a scrub. A nobody. One of thousands who work the lower levels, keeping Inside clean for the Uppers. I've got one friend, do my job and try to avoid the Pop Cops. So what if I occasionally use the pipes to sneak around the Upper levels? The only neck at risk is my own…until I accidentally start a rebellion and become the go-to girl to lead a revolution.

My Review:

What's good about it:

Setting: The setting is not super original, however, the setup of the system was easy to understand and it made sense how people within the Inside navigated and lived.

The Plot Twist: This is part of the setting for Inside Out and I won't spoil it here. It's best if you walk in not knowing much about the story but the plot twist was so.damn.good.

Character Development: I liked all the characters, from Trella, Riley, Cog, and the Tech Nos, to name a few. It's mostly Trella's story, and the supporting characters added positively to the story.

Final Thoughts:

Inside Out was an enjoyable read. I know some reviews found it slow and tedious to get through and didn't like Trella, but I liked her a lot and I loved learning her world through her eyes and loved reading about Trella figuring things out. She's quite the badass!

Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder is available here.
