Summer Sorbet Recipe!

I don't know about you, but this summer feels like the hottest so far. The blazing heat feels like it's setting a new record and I'm always looking for new ways to stay cool.

I've been obsessed lately with DIYs and recipes that are easy and quick to make. This sorbet is super easy to make and makes the perfect afternoon snack for lazy summer days or a quick dessert.

An added plus is that this recipe is super healthy since it's vegan and gluten-free. The fruits are sweet enough that no sugar or honey is added, although if you prefer something sweeter, you can absolutely add it on.

For this recipe you need:

-1 glass of warm water

-A handful of ice (not pictured)
-1 banana (chopped and frozen)
-A handful of frozen mixed fruit
-A handful of raspberries
-Honey/sugar/any sweetener of your choice (optional, I did not use it in this recipe)
-Pinch of Chia Seeds
-NutriBullet/Blender of your choice

Pour the contents into the recipe, adding the water last. The warm water will defrost the frozen fruit just enough to make it easy to blend and the ice will add the correct texture for a sorbet.

This is how it will look like when you start blending. Depending on the strength of your blender, you want to take extra care that the mix doesn't turn into pure liquid. I would press down on my Nutribullet every 3 to 5 seconds to make sure that it stayed the consistency I wanted.

You're done! I sprinkled some chia seeds on top of my sorbet to add some nutritional punch to the desert. Chia seeds are a great source of protein and fiber and pack tons of antioxidants within it's little seeds.

What are some of your favorite summer recipes?
