The amount of times I could count direct quotes from the book was pretty surprising. It was not only such a well done adaptation but a sequel as well. It kept the same tone as the novel and every character was fully fleshed out and developed. It didn't feel like actors playing a part on a screen but real people. The parts that were taken out were minor scenes and didn't effect the plot or derailed it. Things such as Katniss learning about the force field through Haymitch's Games were replaced with her finding out about it through Beetee in the training center or her finding out about the growing animosity and rebellion in the districts while being inside the districts during the victory tour instead of watching a news report in the mayor's office.
Catching Fire posters at the movie theater I went too. They were HUGE and unsurprisingly stunning.
All in all, Catching Fire is well worth the hype and you should definitely go and check it out!

Lion! Hey, so I totally agree with your review. The first Hunger Games did have an excessive shaky cam (still good though), but the second one was a great adaptation! It captured the drama, built the tension that was embedded throughout the novel, and just complimented it entirely. I saw it twice, haha. No shame. Anyway, I liked your website! Keep up the good work!
