Top 5 Lipsticks For Summer
Amanda Leon Wednesday, June 11
Miami is quite the conundrum lately. It's a place known for its sunny weather, and now that summer has rolled around, it's just raining all the time. You don't know how many times I've been on my way to the beach with friends when it just starts pouring out of nowhere!
It might not be 80 degrees everywhere else but at least during the summer, everyone wants to add a pop of color, whether to their outfits or their makeup.
Here are my top five lipsticks for summer:
Avon Ultra Color Riche in Imperial Pink: It's a blue based, very girly pink that can be built up to look subtle or as a bold pink pout. Extra bonus: works great as a blush too!
Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Cojo: Not a lipstick, but the shimmer in this really makes your lips look bigger without being too much and works great to add dimension over any lipstick.
Chanel Rogue Allure Velvet in La Favorite: This is a higher end lipstick but I am obsessed! It's a beautiful coral that lasts forever and works for any occasion. I totally recommend it! If you're looking for a drugstore dupe, check out Revlon in Coralberry.
Loreal Colour Riche in British Red: Red lipstick during the summer is tricky. If it's really hot outside, it's better to go for a colored balm, but for those days when you want to rock a bold red lip, I really recommend this one. It lasts forever and hasn't melted off when it's absolutely boiling outside. It's great!
Revlon Super Lusterous in Peach Petal: Another lip gloss! I love using this on its own since it gives the effect of 'your lips but better' and it's not sticky. Great when you just want to apply something quickly and not think about it.
