A little historical background for you all. Released in 1994, Vamp is Chanel's best selling nail polish with $1 million dollar in sales in their first year alone. Vamp was later made legendary by various celebrities and notably, Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. The polish is a deep, reddish wine color that was made to resemble dried blood, hence the name.
Classic. Amazing. Perfect for the holidays.

I posted this look on Instagram a few days ago (you can follow me here!!) and I couldn't resist making a post about it. Fall is the time for smokier eyes and darker lips but lately I've been stuck in either or of two opposites. Thick eyeliner and dramatic lips or beautifully simple, where I usually focus on a clean and sculpted canvas with dramatic top and bottom lashes being the focal point.
I was in the mood to do a simple black nail but right before the first coat was applied, I hesitated. I love black nails but I wanted to do something slightly different but still in the same color family and ended up choosing Maybelline's Twilight Rays, a chic emerald twist on the classic black nail.

Every time I decide to pick out a blue from my collection I always tend to gravitate towards this one. Lagoon is one of my favorites and has such incredible formula and lasts forever on my nails, never chipping off or losing its shine. It's bold, gorgeous and it always makes me feel like I'm about to jet set off to holiday.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect exfoliator lately and one thing I've discovered in my search is that every exfoliator is completely different from the other. While the desired end result is the same, some exfoliators are more abrasive, some are baby soft, and some are in the middle. I believe that exfoliating is an essential staple in your skincare routine and for each skin type and personal preference, each person needs one for their own needs.

Sixteen-year-old Tegan is just like every other girl living in 2027—she's happiest when playing the guitar, she's falling in love for the first time, and she's joining her friends to protest the wrongs of the world: environmental collapse, social discrimination, and political injustice.
But on what should have been the best day of Tegan's life, she dies—and wakes up a hundred years later, locked in a government facility with no idea what happened.
The future isn't all she had hoped it would be, and when appalling secrets come to light, Tegan must make a choice: Does she keep her head down and survive, or fight for a better world?
Award-winning author Karen Healey has created a haunting, cautionary tale of an inspiring protagonist living in a not-so-distant future that could easily be our own.
